Notable Events of the Week:

  • Donald Trump, Jr. admitted that “he met with a Kremlin-linked lawyer shortly after his father clinched the Republican nomination, hoping to get information helpful to the campaign”, which, according to The New York Times, was information damaging to Hillary Clinton. Time
  • After receiving information that the New York Times would publish the emails setting up the meeting with the Kremlin-linked lawyer, Donald Trump, Jr. released them, which immediately led to claims that they were “the “smoking gun” in the investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to take down the Clinton candidacy.” Washington Post
  • Wednesday was the ““Net Neutrality Day of Action,” an online protest day on which thousands of websites, people and services called attention to the impending revocation of net neutrality rules by the FCC.” TechCrunch
