NCPGC Program on Social Enterprises – March 12, 2009

Exempt organizations attorney Sheila Warren and I will be presenting a program on social enterprises at the Northern California Planned Giving Council (NCPGC) luncheon program on Thursday, March 12, 2009.  I hope to see some of our readers there!  Online registration is available at the NCPGC site.

Program Description:  With the economic recession, growing awareness of social problems, increasing competition, and decreasing funds, charities and social entrepreneurs are looking for new ways to create social good. Are social enterprises the answer? What exactly are social enterprises anyway, and how do they differ from existing charitable vehicles? This program will provide a starting point for answers to these questions and more.

Program Fees:

Members:  $50 (through March 6); $60 (after March 6)
Non-members:  $60 (through March 6); $70 (after March 6)

Location:  The Bankers Club, Bank of America Building, 555 California St., 52nd Floor, San Francisco
