Advocacy remains one of the most effective tools for the nonprofits. YouTube is offering a chance to a citizen to address the 40th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland about why his or her cause matters. The theme of the Annual Meeting is a call to action: "Improve the State of the World: Rethink, Redesign, Rebuild."
You can enter by submitting a 3-minute video to the Davos YouTube channel by Monday, January 4, 2010. Five finalists will be chosen by a judging panel comprised of Paolo Coelho, Arianna Huffington, and Muhammad Yunus. The finalist videos will go up for public vote, and the winner will be announced on January 19. The winner will pitch his or her cause at a special session in Davos on January 30.
