Bolder Advocacy, an Initiative of Alliance for Justice, is hosting a workshop on Wednesday, July 26th for nonprofits in California’s Central Valley. The interactive workshop is intended for staff and board members of 501(c)(3) public charities and cover the applicable legal rules on such organizations engaging in advocacy. The workshop will specifically cover the following topics:
- How to maximize and keep track of IRS lobbying
- Tips for engaging with voters and candidates during election season
- Understanding California lobbying disclosure laws
- And more!
Attend the workshop to learn how your nonprofit can bring the concerns of your community to policymakers and elected officials, and how to stay within the rules while you inform and encourage voters. Immigration, budget cuts, access to healthcare, affordable housing, and environmental justice – these are just a few of the critical issues elected officials are considering. They need to hear the voices of your organization and community!
